i'm sure all of us tell our kids we love them everyday.
but how often do we tell them why we love them?
i found this little valentine project online and thought it was cute.
everyday, until valentines day, you put a new heart up on a door {or wherever} with a reason why you love your child.
the boys have loved reading them. when they get up,
i say "come see if there is a new heart on the door"
they get a huge smile on their face when i read the heart to them. then we usually go over the hearts from the days before too. i asked hunter why i loved him and he remembered the other 2 i put up, and i'm sure he will keep remembering all the reasons as we read them all everyday together.
here is our "little love" door
hunter's hearts say:
i love hunter because he is a good big bro
i love hunter because he makes his bed everyday
i love hunter because he loves Jesus
carter's hearts say:
i love carter because he shares {sometimes, haha}
i love carter because he is a good big bro
i love carter because he likes donuts
i am going to mix up some silly ones with some sweet ones :)
the kids also made valentines while i was cutting out hearts
little miss capri played while we had our craft time
carter cutting out a valentine
i think kids of all ages will love this even if you have a teenager!
they might think it's corney but who doesn't love to hear why they are loved! :)
